Scholastic's sixth question is will Voldemort be defeated? Options are
* Yes and he will live
* Yes and he will die
* No way
* There will be a truce
Right now, 81% are voting that he will be defeated and die. How else could we all sleep at night?

I'm intrigued by the "Yes, but he will live" option. How can he truly be defeated then? That seems like something Rowling would do to us, though. Except, if the rumors about her killing off Harry to make sure no one else could write about him are true, I would think this would be a door she wouldn't want to leave open either, or even closed, but not locked or destoryed!
I'm sure JK's got stacks of legal papers to protect against anyone else ever writing about Harry. Voldemort's totally going to bite it.
He's got to be defeated - and for Voldemort, that means dead. I just don't think you can wrap up the story without it. That would be like letting The Emperor live at the end of Star Wars.
